PANET is a non-profit association of experts, whose mission is networking of stakeholders from all sectors in order to improve sustainable socioeconomic development of communities with special focus on NGOs. The associations by its activities tries to increase civic engagement in societal life, to develop civic society in Slovakia and abroad.
Main focus areas of PANET is improvement of conditions for sustainable development of the non-profit sector through awarness and education raising of stakeholders from all sectors. The activities mainly include analyses of socio-economic relationships concerning the NGO sector, consultations, managerial and information services, formal and informal education, support to cross-sector cooperation and (self-)financing of NGOs. Through information and service provision we endeavour to improve professionalism of NGOs, social education of business and thus promote corporate social responsibility and community involvement.
The association has been officially registered by the Interior Ministry of the Slovak Republic in June 2001. Between 2006-2011 PANET was a strategic partner of PDCS.
